project description: cruising the cartography is a research based project mapping the effects and affects of queer public sex cultures in portland maine. mapping projects include oral histories, urban planning, park/arborist planning, sexual migrations, criminal records and community policing of public sex. these various research methodologies come together in an immersive research laboratory exhibition at the Institute for Contemporary Art in Portland for the month of May, 2010.
